Claude is Anthropic's chat assistant, available on the web, desktop and mobile. It is known for handling very long documents, following detailed instructions and writing in a natural tone. People use it to summarise and compare reports and contracts, draft and edit text, reason through data, and write or review code. Projects keep files and instructions together, and Artifacts show documents, charts and small apps beside the chat. There is a free tier, with Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans for heavier use.
